Apple’s new smartphone, the iPhone SE, has just been unveiled. Several new features are present, but its handling remains the same as older versions.

iPhone SE Design
The phone features a 4-inch display and the same overall dimensions as the iPhone 5s. The iPhone SE is quite similar in design to its predecessor, including the device’s edges which, in the new version, are finished in matte. The phone will be available in space gray, silver, gold, and rose gold.
iPhone SE Specifications
The new model will include an NFC chip for Apple Pay, along with the much faster A9 processor and M9 motion coprocessor. This means the phone will have speed comparable to the iPhone 6S and will also feature “Hey Siri” functionality. Apple states it can achieve 50% faster LTE speeds compared to previous devices.
iPhone SE Camera
The iPhone SE camera sports a 12-megapixel sensor and is capable of capturing 4k video. This is the same camera featured on the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus. According to rumors, the front flash on the new device may not have the same capabilities as the iPhone 6S, although Apple has included the same functionality from its bigger sibling in the less premium device. At the moment, there is some confusion regarding this aspect.
iPhone SE Operating System
The new device launches with iOS 9.2. It also includes a night mode that allows for changes to the display’s color and brightness.
iPhone SE Price
The iPhone SE is available in two models, 16GB and 64GB, priced at €399 and €499 respectively. The first devices will be available in select countries starting March 31st. It will be available worldwide by May.
