Google’s X Phone could be the true rival to Apple’s iPhone: according to rumors, the project is active and close to being unveiled.
That Google has already entered the smartphone and tablet sector with the various terminals of the “Nexus” series is certainly no secret.
However, the role of a co-branded company with other device manufacturers seems to be too restrictive for the Mountain View giant. Therefore, in Google’s future, there would be the upcoming launch of a brand new, proprietary smartphone capable of dethroning Apple’s iPhone.
It is the Wall Street Journal that launches this interesting preview, according to which Google is reportedly working on the release of X Phone, a powerful Android device produced by the laboratories of Motorola which, as a reminder, is owned by Google for the part relating to a very large number of precious patents.
There’s more: if the first step towards affirmation will be through the development of a smartphone, it is learned that shortly after, a tablet, already nicknamed “X Tablet“, could also make its debut.
While Google is not releasing any statements that could clarify the truth behind these hypotheses of development plans in a completely new sector, from the Motorola front, it is Dennis Woodside, the CEO, who speaks.
He himself states to the Wall Street Journal reporters that they are investing in a technology that will bring something very different compared to current standards.
Curiosity about how revolutionary Google’s new project, the first of its kind for the search engine giant, will be is definitely high, and who knows if we won’t already see the fruits of this work in the second half of 2013.
