Google Nexus Prime: Presentation Postponed

Google and Samsung postpone the presentation of Google Nexus Prime with few words and many doubts left for those who were awaiting the release of the next Google phone.

A joint statement signed and released by Google along with Samsung announces that the presentation of Google Nexus Prime, the new Google smartphone developed in collaboration with Samsung, will not take place. Not for the moment, at least.
The news comes suddenly, entirely unexpectedly, and what is even more astonishing is the evident lack of clarity regarding the main reason for this decision.
The new Google Nexus Prime was scheduled to take center stage for its official launch on October 11th.
Just a few days before the event, here comes the cold shower.
From reading the official statement, it is understood that the two companies have decided to postpone the smartphone’s presentation to a date yet to be determined because they realized that the timing is not the most opportune for releasing the new product.
No specific date beyond October 17th is provided, but they promise that a new appointment for the official presentation of Google Nexus Prime will be communicated soon.
It’s not just the smartphone launch that’s been called off: along with it, the public release of Android Ice Cream Sandwich, the new Google operating system that was supposed to debut on the Nexus Prime, is automatically canceled.
What happened just days before the long-planned event is unclear, but at this point, the presentation should not be delayed much longer, to ensure the smartphone can be available for sale before Christmas, a period that is among the most favorable for launching new hi-tech products.
