Google’s smart software is updated, with information on discounts and promotions for searched products arriving.
For those who don’t know it yet, Google Now is an intelligent personal assistant software launched by the Mountain View company in 2012, for both Android and iOS platforms. Using a natural language user interface, the software answers questions, provides recommendations, and performs multiple actions. Thanks to a system for storing usual searches, Google Now tries to predict what the user wants. The “Now” cards therefore allow users to receive desired information without even searching for it, for example, they can receive information on ongoing football matches, commuter traffic before going to work, or weather forecasts based on geographic location. This last feature has been implemented, making the smart software even more complete. The US giant has indeed announced, through a statement published on its official blog, a new update. The cards that Google Now supports continue to increase, the latest to arrive is the one that offers information on promotions, sales, and generally on price drops of previously searched products. For now, the function is only extended to the USA, but it will surely be launched worldwide in a short time.
