Google Chromebook with Touchscreen Studio

Google is working on its new Chromebooks, for which an innovation is expected: touch technology applied to the screen.

An exciting preview was launched in the pages of the Wall Street Journal: according to sources cited by the newspaper, Google is developing a new touch technology for the screens of upcoming Chromebooks.
The search engine giant is reportedly investing in research applied to its laptop devices, thus combining the potential of Chrome OS with new hardware elements capable of reacting directly to fingertip touch, just as happens when handling tablets and smartphones.
After all, building on the development of Android, Google engineers and technicians should not be dealing with entirely new concepts, thus being able to merge the Android experience with that of Chrome OS.

Certainly, a scenario of this type – concerning the creation of Chromebook laptops with touchscreen technology – would also imply a whole study on new hardware components that it’s reasonable to assume shouldn’t necessarily be done by Google alone.
However, no manufacturer names – such as Asus, Samsung, or others – are mentioned as working on similar projects.
Therefore, the strictest confidentiality still prevails in this regard, or perhaps studies on touch technology applied to laptops by Google are still in the very early stages.
