Free iPhone 5 Battery Replacement: Here’s How

Apple will replace defective iPhone 5 batteries for free: here’s how to activate the procedure in Italy.

Apple has officially launched the recall campaign for defective iPhone 5 batteries.
All owners of the aforementioned device with a faulty battery will be able to get it replaced completely free of charge.
A small percentage of these batteries – belonging to production batches released between September 2012 and January 2013 – have shown manufacturing defects.
The most evident result has been poor battery life, leading to the need to recharge the iPhone 5 device’s battery much more often than usual.
In this case, Apple will provide a remedy by following two different paths.
You can request the replacement of only the defective battery, even in Italy.
Conversely, if you purchased an original replacement battery in previous months, Apple will refund the amount spent.
How do you activate the replacement or refund procedure?
All you need to do is check if your iPhone 5 is among those identified with manufacturing defects. This is the first useful step: go to the Apple website and enter your iPhone 5’s serial number in the designated field.

If the response is positive, you can proceed with filling out all the fields indicated during the guided procedure, culminating in a request for replacement or refund through official Apple channels.
It’s important to note that the recall, replacement, or refund campaign will be activated in Italy starting Friday, August 29, 2014.
