From Facebook a new feature, always focused on sharing: the “Send” button, or “Send” if you prefer. Unlike the Like which is public, Send works privately.

News at home Facebook: here comes the continuation of the “Like” button. Indeed, the Send button (“Send” in the American and English version) has been announced. It is a new feature useful for sharing links, articles, images, reports.
One might ask: “What is the difference with the button?”.
In fact, the Facebook community is already used to sharing material via “Like”: in this way the spread of an item we want to bring to the attention of our friend list occurs publicly.
The Send button acts instead privately: it is used to share something with just one person or with a selected group of people, without the entire friend list being aware of the viral spreading mechanism. Clicking on “Send” will open a pop-up from which you can select to whom to send the link of interest. You can also share an article with someone who is not registered on Facebook, as it will be possible to enter an external email address to FB: in this second case the recipient will receive a real email, sent from our address like name.surname@facebook.com.

Some renowned sites have already welcomed Facebook Send on their pages, to allow their user-readers to test this feature: we mention the Wall Street Journal and the Huffington Post, among the major ones of about 50 sites that have immediately adhered to the new feature.
Anyone can already prepare their own pages, equipping them with the icon “Send“: just consult the Facebook section dedicated to developers and follow the instructions, retrieving the distributed code.
The birth of the Send button is not casual: since Facebook made it possible to organize contacts into Groups, millions have been born. It is estimated that about 50 million have been created, an impressive number. How to exploit and strengthen the links between these niches within Facebook? Precisely with the Send button which, being able to operate within the group itself, could lead members to channel information that they prefer not to share with everyone outside.
Another way to keep members glued to Facebook, without “external” distractions that make them leave the social network.
