Facebook could soon open up to group chats: the feature is in the testing phase and the company confirms the existence of the project.
It seems that Facebook, despite having the undisputed lead in the social network sector, is not resting on its laurels and is therefore considering new features to offer its subscribers.
Apparently, a team is testing chat rooms: it could soon be possible to start a group chat with a group of friends or friends of friends.
This is reported by TechCrunch, which explains that this system could be named “Host Chat“.
The group chat could therefore be both public and private: in the first case, all friends will be able to see this special “room” and thus decide to join the conversation flow.
If, however, the chat room were private, the administrator would clearly decide who to allow to participate and therefore to whom the group conversation would be visible.
The chat stream would be located within the user’s news feed, thus in a highly visible position for participants, and therefore it will not be a separate area from the main activities undertaken on Facebook, located in the central column.
Although these are still rumors, it should be noted, however, that the company has partially confirmed the news:the Facebook team states that they are indeed testing some solutions of this type but that it is not certain that they will actually be implemented or implemented soon.
