A dive into the past thanks to the new “On This Day” feature implemented on Facebook.
News regarding the display of your own shared content on Facebook.
A new feature has been implemented on the blue social network in recent hours, capable of re-proposing past moments.
Its name in Italian is “Accadde oggi” (On This Day) and it allows you to “resurface” photos, statuses, and various shares, characterized by one element: the date. This means the platform will propose content shared with your contacts on the same date but in previous years.
The functionality can be appreciated and used or simply ignored; this is because past posts will initially be displayed only to the profile user. At this point, you can decide to “re-propose” them, even delete them, or take no specific action, letting the notification “slip” away.
To try the new “Accadde oggi” (On This Day) feature, you just need to click on the bookmark in the “News” section. Here – among the available options – you will also find “Accadde oggi” (On This Day).
The alternative is to go directly to the page www.facebook.com/onthisday and from here – as well as through the path previously illustrated – you can also decide to activate the notification, so as to automatically receive an alert when there is content on the same date but from previous years.
A real nostalgia trip for Facebook and its users.
