Facebook is reportedly ready to launch its multimedia platform featuring music, TV, movie content, and more. Nothing is yet known about the pricing of the new services.
Facebook is aiming for a complete multimedia experience for its users. Apparently, a platform will be launched very soon, through which users will be able to access a wide range of multimedia content, and also share it with their friends, who in turn can share it further in a chain reaction.
Music, movies, TV series, television programs, and much more: all on your Facebook feed, all available.
The official announcement from Facebook could come on Thursday, during the “F8” conference.
However, there is a high level of secrecy surrounding this project – perhaps called Facebook Music – which clearly needs established partnerships to function. There are rumors of potential strategies with Spotify, Deezer, VEVO, Rhapsody, and Hulu.
Yet, nothing is being revealed from this front; no potential or already existing partner is letting slip any interesting details to learn more.
Regarding possible prices for accessing this multimedia platform on Facebook, nothing concrete has been disclosed from this perspective either; in fact, nothing at all tout court.
The only leaked information suggests that, most likely, at least in the initial stages, Italian users will not be involved in this major innovation, due to a lack of commercial agreements with Italian entities because of copyright issues.
If this platform were to gain traction and take shape rapidly, it would be enough to provide users with an even more immersive experience than games like FarmVille, CityVille, and others.
