Facebook for businesses: how to manage a business page

Facebook thinks about companies – of any size – by launching the page “Facebook for Business“. Tips and guidance to better manage a business page.

Halfway between a welcome page and a proper guide, “Facebook for Business” or “Facebook 4 Business” whichever you call it, is the new section within the blue social network, entirely dedicated to small and medium-sized business activities present—or about to be—on FB.
Like a center of very targeted information, everything is available on a single page, through which it is explained what a business can do on Facebook and how it can best manage its presence on the social network.
Nothing that wasn’t already known until today: the novelty lies in having organized everything and above all having publicly displayed Facebook’s embrace of businesses.
The move does not seem accidental: while Google+ shuts down accounts considered corporate (this happened here in Italy with Repubblica.it), Facebook not only opens but actually flings wide open its doors to these realities, to be managed very differently than a personal account. This aspect should be remembered by those who are not very experienced: businesses cannot open profiles, as a private user would, but must instead open a page, which is something different and, among other things, also allows access to data on views of individual updates or statistics on interactions between page followers and therefore the corporate account itself.
Returning to the comparison between Facebook Business and Google+, it has actually been reported from within the latter social network that the project dedicated to businesses has not yet been released but is expected in the coming days, so the closure of corporate accounts was motivated only by this circumstance.
Could this have been the trigger that pushed the minds of Facebook to remind businesses that there’s always room for them on the social network, always has been, and that today it is even more evident and structured?
The competition, in this case, is doing very well: card after card, competitors are pampering their users much more.
