Facebook, it is now always possible to edit comments

Facebook is about to introduce the option “Edit” to comments: this is one of the upcoming features that will become part of the social network’s user experience.
Very often, in fact, one finds themselves in the situation of leaving a comment which, only after posting, stands out due to a grammatical error or a small typo.
Currently the possibility to edit comments – and not status updates – is available to everyone only for a few seconds and only until a new comment is posted after the one you want to modify.
Very soon the ability to fix comments will be extended but this doesn’t mean that you can make some words disappear or some over-the-top comment, sure that you won’t be discovered.
Facebook’s team working on this option has indeed planned a system that stores the edit history of comments.
The feature will become fully operational in the coming days and will be gradually rolled out to all profiles, as always happens with all Facebook’s new features.

For once it must be noted that it is Facebook that probably drew inspiration from one of the mechanisms of Google +: on Google’s social network, in fact, users already have the ability to correct comments.
As for the practical operation of the option, it is very simple and fast: just click on the pencil icon that will appear on the comment of interest, choose the “Edit” option and then make the correction.
At this point the text will change – without receiving an additional email notification – but under the comment itself the system will display the wording “Edited“, immediately before the clickable “Like” option.
The first step will be to extend this feature to the web version of Facebook, meaning the one available on PCs, notebooks and netbooks.
In the coming weeks the feature will likely also be visible on the mobile version of Facebook, useful for those who use the social network on smartphones or tablets.
