It is learned in these hours that a new feature is about to make its debut on the most famous microblogging platform in the world.
In fact, the new “Twitter Poll” service has been presented.
It is a new tool useful for creating polls that you wish to disseminate via Twitter.
In the first phase of the project’s implementation, you will be able to post questions, offering them to your followers, in order to take note of others’ opinions via poll.
Initially, there will only be two possible answers, but it is likely that – if the service is well-received and works – multiple answers could become a further viable option.
The poll created with Twitter Poll will therefore remain available for a well-defined period: only 24 hours, and then it will disappear, meaning it will no longer be suggested to your contacts on Twitter.
The proposer will then be able to draw conclusions and get an idea of the general trends related to the question posed to their virtual “audience”.
Twitter Poll will gradually appear in the coming days and can be easily recognized by the icon that will appear in the available box where you normally write your tweet.
The design chosen to indicate the “Twitter Poll” feature is a generic pie chart.
The novelty will first be propagated via updates to the Twitter app for iOS and the Twitter app for Android, and then it will also appear on the web platform twitter.com.
