Cortana on Android: official beta debut in the United States

Interesting news is coming from the Android environment: the voice assistant Cortana has finally landed on the green robot platform.
Cortana will therefore replace the current service provided by Google Now: this is evident from the fact that you notice this change when you press the virtual Home button.
Normally, in fact, Android until today would automatically propose opening Google Now, while the recent integration of Microsoft’s assistant brings about the opening of Cortana.
At the time of writing, this novelty is only available in a beta version, after the first version offered exclusively for developers was released about a month ago.
Therefore, today is the rollout of the beta open to everyone, although for the moment Cortana’s features are only in English.
However, these are just the first steps towards a more important and especially more widespread integration that will undoubtedly arrive in the coming months for everyone, all over the world.

Once this is done, you will have to wait to receive a link via email, so you can start using Cortana on your Android device.
There is no further information yet regarding a release date for a potential final version.
Among the features that can currently be activated via Cortana, it is learned that the voice assistant “recall” feature is missing – so to speak: to use Cortana, in fact, it is not yet possible to simply say the phrase “Hey Cortana” or something similar. Instead, at the moment it is still necessary to physically press the space reserved for the Home button on Android terminals.
However, it is conceivable that this further functionality will be integrated very soon. Interesting developments are therefore expected.
