Canon Powershot SX 40HS: New Processor, Price Acknowledging Features

The Canon Powershot SX 40HS is Canon’s compact camera that impresses with its zoom performance and image stability, even with distant subjects.

A new processor for the Canon Powershot SX 40HS: this is the first of the standout features when discussing this new Canon compact camera.
It’s the DIGIC 5 image processor: it significantly reduces noise and offers good high-definition video recording capabilities. Furthermore, being a processor that ensures stability and precision, it reduces the need for flash usage, guaranteeing good performance even in low-light conditions.
Another important element is the 35x ultr wide-angle optical zoom with USM, very powerful and precise for both expansive panoramas and Macro details.
The display is a 2.7-inch swiveling LCD for easy framing from various angles and for keeping track of functions and images.
The Canon Powershot SX 40HS shoots at a high-speed burst rate up to 10.3 frames/second (8 shots total maximum).
Additionally, the zoom framing assist system is particularly helpful for framing distant subjects, as it reduces the zoom percentage, allowing for better subject framing before shooting at the previously selected zoom.
The suggested retail price for the Canon Powershot SX 40HS is 493 euros, camera body only. However, offers are available, and it’s possible to purchase at slightly lower prices, though still around 400 euros, not less at the moment.
