Canon is having a day of new announcements. Alongside the launch of the new Canon EOS 700D, the company is taking the opportunity to also unveil the technical specifications of the Canon EOS 100D.
This is also a DSLR, but in a different segment: it has been rebranded as “the world’s smallest DSLR” due to its remarkably compact size for its type of camera.
The dimensions are indeed only 116.8 x 90.7 x 69.4 millimeters, weighing in at 407g.
Before detailing the main technical characteristics, it’s important to note that despite its extreme compactness, this camera does not compromise on ease of use: the rear display undoubtedly stands out. It is a 3-inch Clear View II touchscreen LCD (1,040,000 dots) that is multi-touch, although it is not articulated and remains fixed.

The new Canon EOS 100D will be sold from late April at a price of €699 for the body only, while if you prefer to purchase the kit including the EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS STM lens, the price will be €861.
