Canon presents 8 new 2 Megapixel network cameras

The new range includes an outdoor model with non-stop 360⁰ viewing, 30x optical zoom, and fast autofocus, as well as two bullet cameras with 20x optical zoom, an absolute first for Canon.

Alleight new network cameras will be showcased along with the recently announced network cameras:VB-H651V e VB-M50B, the latter, a top-of-the-range low-light model, is capable of recording clear and bright images in low-light conditions, even at maximum focal length.

This feature is ideal for various security applications, from surveillance of urban areas to high-criticality infrastructure, where facial identification or the detection of vehicle license plate details are essential.

The VB-R13VE is a 360° PTZ camera for outdoor use, vandal-proof. It integrates a 30x optical zoom with fast focus to ensure accurate images at all times. Thanks to the use of Ultra-low Dispersion lenses that prevent distortions and aberrations in the image, the camera is able to provide clear and bright footage. This results in extremely precise images with very accurate colors, ideal for monitoring critical infrastructure.

All models feature Canon’s new Motion-Adaptive Noise Reduction technology, which reduces noise in footage of moving subjects. Noise correction is performed in real-time according to different contexts and needs, without loss of quality.

The new models are equipped with an innovative user interface (GUI) and an integrated Mobile Viewer that supports various browsers and mobile devices. This allows installers and end-users to manage their video surveillance systems more easily through simple wireless access.

Cameras with 360⁰ continuous viewing

VB-R13VE & VB-R12VE (for outdoor use, vandal-proof and weather-resistant), VB-R13 (for indoor use): FULL HD PTZ speed dome cameras with 30x optical zoom, continuous 360° viewing, fast autofocus, and precision 450°/sec PT control to provide maximum visual coverage and efficient monitoring of different critical environments. Thanks to Canon’s Enhanced Digital Zoom technology, it is possible to operate with up to 120x zoom for low-resolution streaming.

Bullet cameras

• VB-H761LVE & VB-H760VE: FULL HD outdoor bullet cameras (IK09 certified) with 20x optical zoom, and low light performance down to 0.06lx (color). The VB-761LVE offers low light performance down to 0.04lx (mono) while the VB-H760VE provides clear images down to 0.003lx (mono) without using IR technology. The VB-H761LVE also features Clear IR Mode, which allows sharp and clean images to be captured at long distances, reducing heat and fog.
• VB-H751LE: FULL HD outdoor bullet camera with an ultra-wide 124.3⁰ viewing angle, 2.4x zoom, and low light performance down to 0.035lx (color) and 0.002x (mono), with built-in IR functionality for 24/7 surveillance.

Fixed dome cameras

• VB-H652LVE: FULL HD outdoor dome camera with IK10 vandal protection, IR LED illumination, 122⁰ viewing angle, and IP66 certification with a watertight housing, tamper-resistant screws, an anti-fog airflow design, and an optional heating unit.
• VB-H651VE: FULL HD outdoor dome camera with IK10 vandal protection, 2.4x optical zoom, 122.5⁰ viewing angle, and low light performance down to 0.035lx (color) and 0.002lx (mono).

Both outdoor bullet and fixed dome cameras can be used in extreme weather and environmental conditions, near saltwater areas, or in extremely cold areas with possible frost.

The new range is compatible with ONVIF Profiles S and G and allows integration with most VMS platforms, as well as recording, searching, and playback of footage from the recording device.
