In addition to being equipped with NAS-grade HDDs and 8 GB of ECC memory, which ensure great stability even when operations like virus scanning are running, the new WS5020 NAS units mount the latest Intel Atom (C3338) CPUs and offer integrated 10GbE connectivity. Ideal as a file server for small/medium businesses and organizations with over 100 employees, these solutions are also perfect as backup servers.
Furthermore, Windows Storage Server provides the Shadow Copies functionality, which allows scheduling the creation of snapshots of shared folders, enabling the restoration of modified files if necessary, while Data Deduplication functionality guarantees optimized data storage space.
To meet every type of need, Buffalo’s offering for WSS2016-equipped solutions also includes a proposal, the TeraStation WSH5610DNS6, with hardware RAID and its dedicated CPU, which ensures further improved system stability thanks to the reduced workload on the main CPU.
