Asus Vivo Tab Smart with Windows 8: price and launch in Italy

News regarding the release of the new tablet Asus Vivo Tab Smart: the device is about to be sold in Italy too.
Starting from February, in fact, the new tablet based on the Windows 8 operating system will arrive in all Italian stores.
Its technical characteristics are already known: it is a 10.1-inch device, light and manageable, as the maximum thickness is 9.7 millimeters, while the weight is 580 grams.
The most significant news is that the tablet is equipped with Windows 8, alongside an Intel Atom Z2760 processor, a 1.8 GHz dual core. This allows this device to have performance comparable to that of a notebook or netbook, so there is a possibility of exploiting its potential as a stationary workstation.
As for the rest, the display is HD with a resolution of 1366×768 pixels and is of the “Corning Fit Glass” type, to ensure greater resistance. The touchscreen system can support five contact points, but all this is compensated by a wide and therefore comfortable viewing angle.
The RAM is 2 GB, while the internal memory is 64 GB, with connection modules also for NFC technology. If desired, it is also possible to get the tablet with 4G network support, but naturally, in this case, the price would be higher than the Wi-Fi version.

It is also possible to transform the device into a sort of netbook by purchasing the TranSleeve Keyboard wireless, the magnetic keyboard that allows you to work more easily with texts.
This accessory has a price of 99 euros and is available in black, blue, red, or gray.
There are also two cameras on the tablet: the front one, useful for video calls and video chats, is 2 megapixels, decidedly generous. The main camera is instead 8 megapixels: again, an excellent feature, not at all taken for granted.
