Asus Transformer AiO: price of the All-in-One desktop and tablet together

Asus has recently introduced a brand-new device that combines the world of desktop PCs with that of mobile devices: the new “Asus Transformer AiO” is on its way.
In short, it’s an All-in-One desktop PC that turns into a tablet when needed.
The device, convenient and versatile, is also surprising for featuring two different operating systems. The PC mode runs on Windows 8, while the tablet is based on Android 4.1.
Let’s proceed in order, listing the technical specifications of both configurations.
Speaking of theAsus Transformer AiOindesktopmode, it features processors that – depending on the version chosen – can be Core i7-3770, Core i5-3350P, or Core i3-3220.
The graphics card is an Nvidia GeForce GT 730M with 2 GB of RAM support, while internal memory ranges from 4 to 8 GB, with hard drives that can optionally be up to 2 TB.
It also includes a card reader, a DVD burner, 4 USB 3.0 ports, and 1 USB 2.0 port. There’s also a 3.5mm headphone jack and modules for Bluetooth, Wi-Fi a/b/g/n connectivity, and Gigabit Ethernet output.

The screen is effectively thetabletitself, with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and a diagonal of 18.4 inches: not exactly a tablet like those we are commonly used to, given its size.
In this case, it features an Nvidia Tegra 3 quad-core processor and 2 GB of DDR3 RAM. As for internal storage, there are 32 GB available, expandable in any case, as there is a microSD card slot.
The tablet can connect independently, having support for dual-band Wi-Fi. The setup is completed by a Bluetooth 3.0 EDR module and a miniUSB 2.0 port.
Switching between operating systems can be done via a dedicated button.
It’s clear that this very peculiar device is intended to be an ally for home entertainment rather than for use outside the home and on the go, even just the tablet part.
Regarding theprice of the Asus Transformer AiO, it will be around 1200-1300 euros.
