Asus Eee PC 1025CE: Higher price for the new series

Asus Eee PC 1025CE is one of Asus’s latest netbook releases. Unlike the Asus Eee PC 1025 C, the Asus Eee PC 1025CE has a higher price, being the “flagship” of the entire new series.
However, the screen size is the same: it’s a 10.1-inch LED-backlit display (1024×600 pixel resolution).
It comes with 1 GB of RAM and 32 GB of flash memory.
As with most netbooks nowadays, it includes an integrated webcam in the bezel surrounding the screen and an audio jack, which is very useful for Skype conversations, as well as for listening to music and watching videos.
The chosen platform is Intel Cedar Trail, and for the processor, the Asus Eee PC 1025CE uses an Atom N2800 at 1.83GHz, which is more powerful than the rest of the series and therefore also more energy-intensive, although it’s worth noting that the performance-to-power consumption ratio is quite favorable.
In this regard, the battery has a capacity of 56 Wh, which should provide just over 9 hours of battery life.
As for the USB ports, there are two USB 3.0 ports, and one USB 2.0 port that can also serve as a charging source for other electronic devices.
Three colors are expected to be available: Blue, Pink, and Purple.
Regarding the price of the Asus Eee PC 1025CE, only the price valid in the United States has been officially announced so far: it’s $319.
The release in Europe, and therefore in Italy, should not be long in coming: initially expected for the pre-Christmas period, the Asus Eee PC 1025CE and the other netbooks in the new series should be in Italian stores during the month of February.
