Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ30 is a very special camera: despite being quite slim, it features a 20x superzoom.
Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ30 has just been presented and certainly did not go unnoticed: this is primarily due to its very slim line and a design carefully studied to minimize bulk.
Yet, in such a slim body, there stands out a high-quality 20x superzoom: we are talking about a LEICA DC VARIO-ELMAR lens that can extend up to 40x, thanks to the “Intelligent Zoom” function that also preserves image quality by reducing blur and noise.
The rest of the technical equipment highlights the presence of a brand new sensor: it is the High Sensitivity MOS sensor with 14.1 Megapixels, strongly supported by the heart of this camera, namely the Venus Engine processor.
In particular, it is noticeable how much the processor helps in video shooting, given that it is possible to film in Full HD Full HD 1,920 x 1,080 50p (PAL). Also, regarding pure photography, you can see how the Venus Engine delivers in terms of speed and smoothness: an example is its operation in continuous shooting at 10 fps in high quality.
Autofocus is also faster and the ability to use many camera functions to add special effects to images, for example.
For both photos and videos, great support for automatic blur elimination is provided by the POWER O.I.S. optical image stabilizer with Active mode.
A useful curiosity for those who travel a lot is that the Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ30 has the GPS system integrated. This means that, being equipped with maps, the camera will know exactly where you are and what there is to see nearby.
Moreover, for every photo, the geotag system will activate which, in addition to latitude and longitude indications, will directly suggest the name of the city, region, and country where the photo was taken, allowing you to retrace your trip in this way too. It will also be useful to know that the internal clock of this camera can self-adjust to the time zone of the place where you are.
All this can also be monitored through the display, a 3-inch touchscreen with 460,000 pixels resolution.
