Apple support for iPhone, iPad, and other devices could soon also be provided remotely, at least for certain aspects: here’s how it would work.
Providing quick, efficient, and helpful assistance to prevent certain iPhone and iPad features from wearing out: this would be the core of a new patent filed byApplethat has only recently come to light.
The leak comes from the pages of the blogAppleInsider: it is claimed that the Cupertino company could soon launch aremote Apple device monitoring system, capable of analyzing the performance of terminals to extend their average life and duration.
This would allow for a realvirtual check-up, useful for providing guidance toApplewhich could therefore better complete updates and bug fixes.
At the same time, depending on the condition of the individual iPhone analyzed, Apple could propose downloading certain programs that can improve battery life, general performance, and specific aspects that slow down or age the device.
According to what has been learned fromAppleInsider, Applefiled this patent – the name of which is unknown – with the competent office (the Patent and Trademark Office, in the United States) three years ago, in 2011.
However, to this day the system has not yet been made operational and functional as hypothesized by the aforementioned blog.
Of course, not everything that is patented and filed is automatically turned into reality.
Such a project could also simply become a useful tool for the company to analyze device usage, in order to develop more targeted and specific updates, perhaps calibrated on individual issues.
It would still be an advantage for end-users.
