Will Apple Say Goodbye to Google Search?

Apple and Google will probably not renew the agreement for the use of Google Search on Safari.

A period of great activity in the search engine sector: according to the latest rumors, Apple would also be intending to stop using Google as its default search engine.
Only a few days ago, we reported that the Mozilla Foundation had chosen Yahoo! as the default search engine for its browser, effectively parting ways with Google.
For precisely the same reason – Apple’s contract with Mountain View is also expiring – it appears that Cupertino is exploring other options for the search engine to offer its users.
On Safari, therefore, during 2015, we could see Yahoo! or even Bing arrive.
According to Eddy Cue of Apple, the new search software will be selected based on the efficiency and accuracy of the task to be performed, rather than mere economic calculations.
If the agreement between Apple and Google is truly not renewed for the next five years, it would represent a clear separation between the two companies, which are, in fact, in open competition.
After Apple’s dominance with iOS, the mobile sector has seen the resounding entry of Google with Android.

Thus, the future of the two companies could soon involve significant distance, with apparently no room for mutual collaboration.
However, everything is still in the realm of speculation, but the coming months will bring news.
