Apple Personal Pickup: buy online and pick up in store

Apple extends the purchasing options for its products to our country as well.
It has just been learned that, starting today, Apple’s Personal Pickup service is also active in Italy.
The new system works very simply: you can purchase a product from the Apple catalog online, and then pick it up directly at the store.
The option is valid exclusively within Apple Stores; at the time of product selection and choice of delivery method, you can indicate the postal code of the desired location.
The site will then show a list of the nearest Apple Stores and, above all, invite you to click on “Check availability”.
Once you receive the confirmation, you can proceed with the payment.
Simply go to the store indicated when making the reservation and order to receive the requested product, naturally bringing your order receipt and a form of identification.
In most cases, delivery can be possible as early as one hour after placing the order.
With the Personal Pickup service, buyers can immediately receive the product they are interested in, without having to wait for the standard delivery times that are normally required.
Furthermore, the procedure allows you to pick up the item without waiting in line at the store.
Clearly, the procedure described above is for purchasing and picking up—even on the same day—products that are available in the inventory of the chosen store.
If, on the other hand, the relevant Apple Store does not have the specific device, you can still place the order, choosing the in-store pickup option if you think it’s more convenient.

Apple will then proceed to ship the item to the chosen Apple Store, notifying you of its actual availability via SMS and/or email.
Apple’s Personal Pickup option was launched four years ago in the United States and, as of today, is also being activated in Italy, France, Spain, Germany, the Netherlands, and Sweden.
