Amazon.it arrives in Italy, without Kindle

Amazon arrives in Italy with the opening of Amazon.it, which took place just a few hours ago. Kindle is missing, but in return, the Amazon Prime promotion has been launched and many discounts are pouring in to welcome Italian users.

Amazon.it is the new address for shopping for a variety of items, just launched in Italy. Amazon Italia will bring books, CDs, DVDs, video games, toys, watches, and much more to Italian homes, with a very wide selection and competitive prices.
To inaugurate Amazon Italia, you can take advantage of the Amazon Prime promotion, which, for 9.99 euros, allows you to benefit from free shipping for a year. The opportunity is even more enticing since Amazon Prime is offered as a free trial for one month, in the spirit of: “seeing is believing“.
Customers of Amazon.com and other international sites can access the system using their existing login.
The big absentee at Amazon’s arrival in Italy is Kindle and consequently also the Kindle Store and the ebook section. To be completely honest, MP3 files are also missing, however, it is quite evident that it is only a matter of time, given that in the welcome message from Jeff Bezos – CEO of Amazon – one can read: “this is just the beginning: in the coming months we will enrich our selection with even more categories“.
While waiting for this promise to be fulfilled, it can already be safely said that the treatment reserved for Italy by Amazon is not bad at all: free shipping for orders over 19 euros, competitive prices for books compared to other stores, and currently on promotion with a nice -30%.
