Amazon expands Dash Button, active brands triple

Launched about a year ago, Amazon’s Dash Button is now increasingly expanding. Over 100 brands have joined the initiative, with a 75% increase in purchases in recent months.

Amazon has announced it has expanded its line of Dash Button products. But what is Dash Button? It is a type of device with buttons that, thanks to Wi-Fi connectivity, allows purchases to be made with a simple press. Among the most well-known brands that have joined the initiative is CocaCola . In practice, with Dash Button, if you run out of CocaCola , simply press the specific button to have the drink delivered to your home.

Amazon has revealed that there are now over 80 active brands and that in the last three months, sales have expanded by 75%. The most active brands are those related to food and beverages.

The numbers regarding this peculiar gadget stop here because, as often happens, the company has not provided further details on how many actual customers have used it and much other information that could better frame the phenomenon, even though Amazon claims orders occur on average once a minute. Is this truth artfully constructed or actual?

The first purchases with Dash Button were mostly for repurchasing household products such as detergents, paper towels, diapers, pet food, trash bags, etc. However, over the course of the year, the market has changed, and beverages and food items have also entered the list of most purchased products.

The novelty today is that the available brands have tripled, at least according to Amazon’s statements, and several well-known brands have appeared such as L’Oreal of Paris, Energizer, etc., just to give a few examples.

Whether the experimental phase of Dash Button is over, is unknown, but Amazon seems very satisfied with the results achieved so far.
