Amazon: Groceries Now Available for Sale in Italy

In Italy, it will now be possible to purchase grocery items on Amazon, with some limitations.

Italian shoppers can now find a new product category on Amazon.
The e-commerce giant has expanded its ever-growing catalog by beginning to sell grocery items.
Just a few weeks ago, we reported on the arrival of cosmetics and personal care products on Amazon’s Italian platform, and now further choices are available, this time very tasty ones.
With the new “Grocery and Home Care” store, customers can purchase long-lasting food products, with delivery right to their doorstep.
It is rather obvious that fresh food products have not been included, for obvious reasons of inability to store and ship them in a way that ensures the best delivery of delicacies.
A significant advantage is certainly the speed of delivery that will characterize this type of purchase for a specific target audience: those subscribed to the Amazon Prime program. Even better for Prime users in the Milan area: in this region, evening delivery is available (the service is called “Spedizione Sera”), allowing orders to be received within a few hours and by the end of the day.

Major brands are included: Barilla, Mulino Bianco, Mellin, Valfrutta, and other well-known names are already available in the store.
Amazon also states that food industry companies are welcome on the e-commerce platform, further extending the catalog available to customers.
The purchasing options on Amazon, a global giant that doesn’t seem satisfied with what it already offers, are continually multiplying.
