Amazon and Marvel sign a deal that brings 12,000 comics to the Kindle Store.
Big news coming from Amazon’s circles: about 12,000 new titles have been presented, concerning the Kindle catalog.
These are comics, and more specifically Marvel comics, available from today for reading on Kindle devices but also on other devices, through the Kindle app.
Definitely excellent news and an expansion of the usage possibilities for the brand new Kindles that will benefit comic lovers who have long wished to have them available on Kindle.
The pages can indeed be enjoyed to the fullest, thanks to the compatibility with the new high-resolution displays of Kindle Voyage and the latest version of the Kindle Paperwhite.
So, at the moment, over 12,000 Marvel titles have already been added to the Amazon Kindle Store catalog, thus being readable not only on Kindle ebook readers but also on tablets from the Kindle Fire family. Furthermore, availability will be total on Amazon Cloud Reader and of course – through ComiXology – the comics can be virtually “flipped through” on iPhones, iPads, Android tablets, Android smartphones, PCs, and Macs.
Finally, it is understood that the Marvel Comics app will continue to run on iOS and Android platforms, as well as – finally – on the official reference shop Marvel Digital Comic Shop.
Finally, comic enthusiasts can count on editorial products designed and optimized specifically for Kindle and mobile devices, without having to “settle” for approximate viewing but aiming for a perfect result, without any compromises.
What also appears interesting is not only the fact of being able to wait for the punctual digital release of new Marvel issues but above all the certainty of having a vast catalog available, as the new terms of the agreement signed between Amazon, Marvel, and ComiXology allow access to old issues as well, even from many years ago.
A treasure trove of perfectly optimized pages and comics, accessible anytime and anywhere on the go.
