Noteworthy news from e-commerce giant Amazon.
A new type of service has been officially launched, concerning the delivery system for purchased goods.
In Italy too, the so-called “Pick-up points” have been established: in our country, these will be post offices.
From today, therefore, once an order is completed on Amazon, you will have the option to choose how to receive your package.
You can continue to use home delivery or choose the nearest Pick-up point to your home or workplace.
In the latter case, all you need to do is select your preferred post office from the provided list, also specifying a time slot during which you can collect the goods on the day indicated by Amazon.
In total, approximately 10,000 post offices – located throughout Italy – have joined the collaboration with Amazon; some of these are also open on weekends, including Sundays.

In this regard, the initiative will undoubtedly be welcomed by those who are out all day and may not have a reliable point for receiving packages.
Another advantage of collection at post offices is that the entire process is completely free, meaning the new service does not incur any additional costs beyond the standard shipping fees already paid on Amazon.
Therefore, it remains free for Prime customers and is included within the standard €2.80 shipping fee, where applicable.
