iPad Pro: prices, versions, and features

The Apple keynote of last September 9, 2015, was the official stage for the worldwide presentation of Cupertino’s new tablet.
Its name is iPad Pro and it represents a big change in perspective for the company, given the size of the screen and therefore – more generally – of the device itself.
The display actually has a diagonal of 12.9 inches: a generous size, to say the least, yet contained within the same thickness as the iPad Air 2.
The display is Retina type, with a new multitouch concept, a resolution of 2732 × 2048 pixels, and 5.6 million dots.
More than a traditionally understood tablet, the iPad Pro seems to want to be the link between “slates” and more classic laptops, so much so that an optional accessory is the Apple Pencil, a stylus type pen for working directly on the screen. The price of the latter will be $99.
From a technical standpoint, it boasts the A9X processor, bluetooth, wifi, and also LTE connectivity modules, in the appropriate version.
It includes a fingerprint reader for unlocking the terminal and two cameras: the main one is iSight type, with an 8-megapixel lens, autofocus, side illumination, f/2.4 aperture, and a 5-element lens system.
The front camera, on the other hand, is FaceTime HD type, with 1.2 megapixels available to the user.
As for battery life, Apple promises 10 hours of continuous use when watching various content or on Wi-Fi; 9 hours, however, if using a data network connection, 3G or 4G.
As highlighted at the beginning, given the large dimensions of the Apple iPad Pro, the device could “convert” into a work accessory: it’s no coincidence that the release of a Smart Keyboard to be attached to the tablet’s body, to turn it into a sort of notebook, has already been announced.

This keyboard can be purchased separately for $169.
Regarding the selling price of the Apple iPad Pro, it will vary depending on the version you wish to purchase:

• iPad Pro 32 GB Price: $799;
• iPad Pro 128 GB Price: $949;
• iPad Pro 128 GB with LTE Price: $1,079.

Regarding the device’s release, Apple has not yet announced an official availability date, only stating that sales will start in November 2015.
