**ASUS FonePad 7** is one of the highlights of the upcoming **Asus** catalog: it’s a **phablet**.
The trend to enlarge smartphone displays, almost to tablet sizes, seems to be confirmed.
Even the new batch of productsAsuspredicts the release of aphablet, namedASUS FonePad 7.
What immediately catches the eye is, of course, the display: a 7-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1280×800 pixels has been used.
As for the operating system, there are no major surprises: it was decided to equip the phablet with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.
The processor is a dual-core Intel Atom Z2560 at 1.6 GHz, with 1 GB of RAM to support it. As for the internal memory, it will be possible to choose between various sizes, from 8 GB to 16 GB. In any case, it will be possible to expand the storage capacity using microSD cards, as the appropriate slot is present.
There are two cameras available: the main one is 5 megapixels, while the secondary one is 1.2 megapixels.
The 3,950 mAh battery ensures autonomy, which is quite performant, at least on paper.
Finally, the ASUS FonePad7 weighs 340 grams, distributed in the following overall dimensions: 120×196.8×10.5 millimeters.
From an aesthetic point of view, the colors will be two and very classic: white or black.
No details are known about the selling price: we will talk about it again as soon as possible.
As for the release, it is expected in the spring.
