Facebook Home, the social network’s new feature announced just a few days ago by Mark Zuckerberg, is coming to Android smartphones.
As of this morning, the app’s descriptive page is available on the Play Store, meaning it’s ready for download.
However, it’s important to note that, at the moment, Facebook Home is not yet usable on all Android devices, but only on a select group of the latest models: specifically, the HTC One, HTC One X+, HTC One, Samsung Galaxy S4, Samsung Galaxy Note II, and Samsung Galaxy S3.
An expansion is naturally planned to make Facebook Home available to all other devices.
In practice, with this new app, the main screen essentially becomes Facebook, with a strong emphasis on photos and the latest news from friends’ status updates, thanks to the Cover Feed functionality.

Facebook Home offers direct, fast, and seamless interaction with Facebook Messenger (updated for the occasion), as well as the notification panel, which becomes an integral part of the main screen.
This screen also aggregates other applications currently in use on your smartphone, making Facebook Home, in effect, a comprehensive activity hub for your device.
Facebook states that, regarding privacy, the application will not access any information from other installed smartphone applications. Similarly, by becoming so “integral” to the device’s functionality, other apps will not be able to track Facebook Home data.
