Sony offers a new product in the notebook sector: the newcomer is called VAIO E Series 14P, an ally for work and online social life that, perfectly in line with spring trends, is launched in white, pink, and black colorways, all with details on the keyboard, trackpad, chassis, and lid.
Speaking of the keyboard, note that it is a backlit accessory, with island keys that make typing very comfortable.
The screen as well – a 14-inch with a 35.5 cm diagonal – has an illumination system that adapts to ambient conditions and independently determines the most appropriate brightness level, thus allowing for significant energy savings.
The “Gesture Control” function is worth highlighting: simply raise your hand towards the webcam and, for example, make the gesture of scrolling through the photo gallery on the screen, to see the action applied on the notebook’s screen.
Many commands are compatible with this functionality: from lowering or raising the volume, to stopping videos and music tracks, as this particular option integrates with PowerPoint, PowerDVD, Internet Explorer 9, and Windows Media Player.
We mentioned the webcam: it is an integrated HD webcam with “Exmor for PC” technology.
The Sony VAIO E Series 14P features a GPU ideal for running even the most demanding applications smoothly, with low battery consumption. When the notebook is used for simpler operations that do not require high energy expenditure, the GPU is automatically deactivated to avoid impacting battery performance.
The promised battery life for the Sony VAIO E Series 14P is 7 hours per full charge cycle.
The price of the Sony VAIO E Series 14P will be at least 699 euros, in line with the pricing standards of the E Series.
