The new edition of **Foursquare Day** kicks off worldwide. Several events have also been organized in Italy for the local **Foursquare Day 2012**, with check-ins galore: here are the programs for the five participating cities.

The second consecutive edition of the Foursquare Day, the worldwide initiative entirely centered on the social network that bases its success on geolocation and check-ins, is about to take place.
The Foursquare Day 2012 will be held on Monday, April 16, all around the world, with many different local initiatives.
Italy will also see a series of themed events, already announced in five cities from North to South: the community will be able to meet in Milan, Alessandria, Fano, Bologna, and Palermo. Here is in detail what is cooking in each designated place:Foursquare Day in Milan
- Again this year, the meeting point will be the
Tweet Cafè, a venue located at Via Tortona 37 in Milan. The day’s program is unknown in detail: everything will be a surprise, as expressly requested by the organizers.Foursquare Day in Bologna - The meeting will take place in
Piazza Nettuno, starting at 6:00 PM. Upon arrival, participants can pick up the kit and wait for 6:30 PM for the official start of an event that, in addition to Foursquare, will also involve Instagram. Again, the details have been deliberately kept secret. The evening will end in front of a good pizza at 8:30 PM at the Pizzeria Il Moro, located at Via del Falegnami, 5.Foursquare Day in Alessandria - The challenge is open: first, you will need to visit an exhibition and then check in at the recognized places in the city based on the exhibition just visited. The reference address is the
lab121 Coworking Center, at Via Verona 17: here are displayed the shots dedicated to Alessandria by Paolo Tonato, Massimo Carcione, Daniele Robotti and Mauro Favaron.After identifying the places in the city portrayed and previously listed on the
lab121 website and then on Foursquare, you can stop by to greet other participants for a collective aperitif served from 7:30 PM onwards. Prizes will also be awarded during the evening.
A first time for the Sicilian city, which will see “Piazza Castelnuovo” as the event location. Starting from 7:00 PM, the party will begin, with unlocks and check-ins.
The collective check-in in Fano will take place at exactly 7:00 PM in “Piazza XX Settembre“, after which you can enjoy an aperitif with other attendees at “Bardan“, where there will be unrevealed surprises.
