Zyxel Nebula, cloud networking for SMEs and resellers

Zyxel, a global leader in broadband networking technologies, today introduces Nebula, an entirely cloud-based solution for managing all Nebula wireless, switches, and security devices.

This will allow companies to install, maintain, and troubleshoot multiple networks remotely, significantly increasing staff productivity and business flexibility.

Office infrastructure and applications are moving to the cloud: Nebula gives resellers and end-users the opportunity to adopt the same model with their wired and wireless network, thanks to a simple license. No more worries about product and update pricing, their short lifecycle, lack of specific expertise, or the typically unbudgeted consulting costs associated with wireless implementation.

Businesses with multiple satellite sites, including hotels, retail chains, and companies with several offices, often struggle to manage their network due to limited technical expertise and IT staff often being located in different places. Nebula allows clients to observe and manage their entire network across multiple sites within a single, secure online platform, or to leave control in the hands of their reseller partners.

Being entirely cloud-based, Nebula allows resellers of any size to mass-manage multiple sites on-demand and easily replicate multi-site configurations. The flexible licensing model will allow them to transition to a Managed Service Provider (MSP) model, focusing on the consistent delivery of services rather than one-off installation costs. The reseller is kept updated on everything happening on the customer’s network before they need to know, ensuring business continuity in case of any network issue, as well as fast troubleshooting support.

The Nebula platform is managed by the Control Center, a single terminal that provides real-time measurements through an intuitive browser-based dashboard. Users can monitor and manage all analytics, including traffic statistics, device status, location, and network usage in real-time, allowing for the rapid discovery and repair of network-related issues.

Nebula devices can be quickly configured using the Nebula Mobile iOS or Android apps, using QR codes to automatically register units, so they are automatically detected by the cloud.

This eliminates the need for specialized on-site engineers when hardware is installed, significantly reducing labor costs compared to traditional installations.
