ZTE Era: Features and Price of the Chinese Smartphone

The Chinese company ZTE chose the Barcelona event to present the new ZTE Era, a high-end quad-core smartphone making its debut. Here are its features and price.

The Mobile World Congress in Barcelona is not only the most prestigious event for the unveiling of new models from established companies but also a showcase of global importance for debuts.
For this reason, the Chinese company ZTE has decided to leverage this opportunity to launch its smartphone ZTE Era.
The Chinese manufacturer is indeed one of the world’s largest device producers but is still relatively unknown as a brand: it’s clear that its presence at the Mobile World Congress signals a strong push into the market.
Regarding the technical specifications of the ZTE Era, we note the presence of a 1.3 GHz nVidia Tegra 3 quad-core processor, with 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of internal storage. The latter can be expanded by adding a microSD card of up to 32 GB.
The operating system is Android 4 Ice Cream Sandwich, while the display is a 4.3-inch capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 960×540 pixels.
All of this is housed in a super-slim body: only 7.8 millimeters thick, for a simple yet elegant smartphone. Despite its compact dimensions, there is also space for a USB port and an audio jack input (a mini type, however).

It is unclear what the exact retail price of the ZTE Era will be in Europe, but it will certainly be positioned among high-end smartphones sold at a lower price than the average competitor. It is expected that its price, therefore, should not exceed 450-500 euros.
As for its release, it is scheduled for the second half of the current year.
