Mobile enthusiasts will certainly not miss the opportunity to get a closer look at two new Chinese smartphones. These areXiaomi Mi2S e Xiaomi Mi2A, powerful and colorful devices that it is still unknown if they will ever arrive in Europe or remain on sale only in China.
The very affordable prices of both devices are definitely striking, despite the presence of respectable components.
Xiaomi Mi2S runs on Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean with MIUI V5 interface, with the aid of a 1.7 GHz quad-core CPU, Snapdragon 600 SoC, and Adreno 320 GPU. All supported by 2 GB of RAM, while the available storage options are two: 16 GB or 32 GB, expandable in any case via microSD card.
The cameras will also differ depending on the available memory: the 16 GB smartphone will have an 8-megapixel camera, while the 32 GB device will boast 13 megapixels. The front camera remains unchanged: always and only 2 megapixels. The battery is 2000 mAh and as for the display, it is a 4.3-inch IPS type, with a resolution of 1280x720p.
The Xiaomi Mi2S is offered at a price of around 250 euros for the 16 GB version and around 280 euros for the 32 GB device.
As for theXiaomi Mi2A, before listing its technical specifications, it should be immediately stated that it falls into a slightly lower category of features, as well as price.
Specifically, it features a 1.7 GHz dual-core CPU in this case as well, but with a Snapdragon S4 Pro SoC and Adreno 320 GPU. RAM is also lower, stopping at 1 GB, while internal memory is available in a single 16 GB option.
The main camera is 8 megapixels, while the secondary camera is 2 megapixels. The 5-inch IPS display, while the resolution does not vary compared to its bigger brother (1280x720p), while the battery is increased to 2030 mAh.
In this case, we are talking about a price of less than 190 euros: very little indeed for smartphones with these features.
