News on the Twitter timeline: a new project has landed on the microblogging platform a few hours ago.
Audio tracks available to users: streaming music has also arrived on Twitter thanks to two highly reputable partners.
The “Audio Card” service – this is its name – has indeed materialized thanks to the agreement reached by Twitter with iTunes and the SoundCloud platform.
Twitter subscribers will therefore be able to listen to the music they prefer without leaving the social network and without even having to minimize it to the background.
The novelty saw its official presentation in music through a great band that immediately embraced the project: it was indeed the Foo Fighters who christened – so to speak – Twitter’s Foo Fighters.
Through their official tweet, an audio card was launched, allowing users to listen to music with a single tap on both Apple and Android devices.
Other artists have also shown interest in Audio Card, and it’s a safe bet that in the coming weeks the list of those who want to channel their music through Twitter will grow.
At the moment, among the musical VIPs testing the potential of Audio Card, we can mention Coldplay, Sigur Ros, White House, and David Guetta, just to name a few.
Twitter Audio Card is not born solely for streaming tracks: it will also be possible to share and listen to podcasts or other types of audio content.

Twitter announces that in the future this new functionality will also be made available to new partners and authors. It goes on to explain that thanks to this new opportunity, all participating artists and authors will be able to share their audio works in real-time and exclusively, directly with millions of users.
