Nokia updates Symbian, launching the renewed operating system named “Symbian Anna“. In a video, Nokia showcases the main features and new elements of this new version of Symbian.
Nokia presents the new operating system Symbian Anna, the heart of the new Nokia smartphones coming soon. There are several new features, both from a purely graphical point of view and in terms of more substantial changes.
First of all, the new QWERTY keyboards – more spacious and comfortable – integrate perfectly with the new Symbian Anna: they can also be used in vertical orientation, without “losing” precious portions of the screen.
Still focusing on the look and the display, with Symbian Anna the icons change: they are larger and have a different, more catchy graphic compared to the past. The entire general layout has been refreshed, a restyling that has gone in the direction of a certainly more current and trendy touch.
Regarding the contents, on Symbian Anna runs a brand new version of Ovi Maps. A strong point of Nokia products, the Ovi maps continue to be heavily promoted by the company, with continuous and precise integrations; as much attention is given to the speed of the browser, faster, more performing and streamlined for a very smooth mobile web experience.
Despite the undeniable fact that Nokia has lost too much ground regarding the smartphone sector, so much so that it has led to a rationalization of funds concerning projects connected to this branch of production, Symbian Anna will still accompany Nokia users for quite some time; for hoped-for developments, Nokia has allied with Microsoft and indeed the integration of Bing (always more competitive compared to Google) in Symbian Anna is one of the most evident effects of this partnership.
Here is the introductory video of Symbian Anna.
