That spam is a real scourge for Internet users is well-known. Google, which has always been at the forefront of fighting this plague, is also taking action through Matt Cutts’ blog, where he is asking for advice from his readers.
The Californian blogger, Matt Cutts, is reaching out to his users to gather suggestions from Google users, with an appeal that is translated into English below.
“Webspam 2009
It’s the start of the year, so I’d simply like to get some outside opinions: what would you like the Google team to address for Webspam in 2009?
Here’s how I asked for suggestions in 2006:
Based on your experience, close your eyes and think about what area or areas you would like Google to focus on. You’ll probably need to think about it for a moment in order to read others’ comments. I don’t intend to mention any specific areas that might influence your answers. I want you to think independently about what Google should work on to reduce webspam within a period of six months to a year.
Once you have decided what you believe is most urgent, please add a constructive comment. I don’t want individual sites to be called out or discussed at length: simply let us know what you would like Google to work on in the area of webspam.
Add your suggestion below.”
