The Sony VAIO T Series are the two new ultrabooks just officially launched by Sony: here are the key features and the expected market release date.
News from Sony: the company is ready to launch the Sony VAIO Series T, new ultrabooks.
An expanding sector in which Sony is beginning to take its steps, firm and rich in good features.
At first glance, the simple yet pleasant and elegant design of the Sony VAIO Series T stands out: a magnesium and aluminum chassis is the business card presented.
Two sizes are available in terms of screen size: the ultrabook Vaio T11 has an 11.6-inch display, equal to 29.4 cm; if you want a larger display, then the solution is provided by the Vaio T13, with 13.3 inches, thus 33.7 cm diagonal.
Battery life – at least on paper, according to Sony’s statement – would be one of the strengths: up to 9 hours of autonomy are promised on the SSD models.
This is mainly thanks to the low-power Intel Core processors that allow energy savings.
Another highlight of these ultrabooks is the anti-theft system provided free of charge for 90 days from the purchase. It is the Intel Anti-Theft Service which, in case of theft or loss of your ultrabook, locks the laptop so as not to allow access to personal data by opening files and documents.
A wide range of interfaces is available to avoid always having adapters or cables on hand, in case there is a need to connect the ultrabook to projectors, audio-video devices, or monitors: HDMI, VGA, and RJ45 network ports, along with USB ports and SD/MMC card slots, offer an all-around solution.
There is also an integrated HD “Exmor for PC” webcam and good attention to the audio department, with xLOUDTM and Clear PhaseTM technologies.
The data backup system is also practical: it is possible to save your work for up to 90 days in case the PC is on but the system is frozen and in power-saving mode.
The selling price of the Sony Vario Series T has not been announced, while the release in stores is scheduled during the month of May.
