Apple launches iTunes Match in Italy, the cloud service for music files to synchronize all desired tracks. Let’s find out its price and how it works.
It was only a matter of months, as Apple’s project regarding cloud storage for music files had been known for some time: here comes iTunes Match in Italy as well.
The service allows you to store and upload your entire collection of albums to Apple’s cloud, so you can always have your favorite songs available on any device.
As already anticipated months ago, the confirmation also arrives that iTunes Match is not a free service at all but involves a fee: for 24.99 euros per year, you can store any song, even if it originates from illegal downloads.
This amount has already been re-dubbed as a sort of amnesty that would subsequently allow access to 100% legal files, after they have been transferred to the cloud.
There is a storage limit, set at 25,000 songs derived from your own CDs or from MP3 files owned in various capacities on your PC. Therefore, if you were to purchase tracks directly from iTunes, the storage capacity would not be affected in any way, as there is a sort of “fast lane” for songs legally purchased through Apple.
To activate iTunes Match, you will need a credit card from which the 24.99 euros will be debited; furthermore, at the end of the year, the subscription will renew tacitly, unless you cancel the service.
From the moment you cancel, your account will be deactivated, and therefore you will no longer be able to access your cloud content.
Last aspect to consider: the devices enabled to listen to songs on the cloud must be a maximum of 10 per account.
Apple is therefore preparing to mark a new milestone in the music sector, also setting the record for being the first company in Italy to implement such a project.
