Sony PlayStation Phone: rumors about the hybrid console

According to some rumors, Sony is about to launch the PlayStation Phone or PSP Phone, however you want to call it. In line with market trends, Sony does not want to be left out of the trend and offers a hybrid in pure PSP style: a console similar to the PSP Go!, which however can also make calls.

The rumor, supported by some details about the prototype (which apparently would be called Zeus), comes from the site Engadget. The PlayStation Phone would be based on the Android 3.0 system which, we remind you, has not yet been officially approved and released by Google. As for the processor, it would be a 1GHz Qualcomm MSM8655 with 512MB of RAM and 1GB of ROM.
The PSP Phone would feature the classic PSP form factor, with the typical buttons of Sony gaming products but “attached” to a central touchpad. The screen would be 4.1 inches and there would also be a camera. Accompanying this, there’s a miniSD slot, while for games, one would have to turn to the Marketplace.
These are pure rumors, although supported by photos released by Engadget, also because there are no confirmations or denials from Sony, only “No comments“.
What is most surprising is the presence of Android 3.0, Gingerbread version: as mentioned, it has not yet been released by Google, although a few days ago there were rumors about the imminent release.
