New MySpace: New Logo, New Suite, Many Innovations for MySpace

MySpace is renewing itself and announcing many innovations starting with the two most evident: the new logo and the new suite. It doesn’t end there: the personalized stream and the storage of interests allow for more interaction.

A change of air at MySpace, the social network fundamentally based on music that in recent months has not been immune to the surge of Facebook. Today, however, it’s time to announce all the innovations of MySpace, innovations that start from the users themselves, since – unlike other social networks – MySpace is based on a common passion that forms the basis for registrations and interactions between people (and connected profiles).
The first innovation that catches the eye is the change of logo and overall design, right from the welcome page. The second sign of novelty is the personalized content composition, as soon as you log in: the page will adapt, in fact, according to the user’s preferences and interests. Furthermore, each user can choose the appearance of the home page, according to three preset models.
The new suite of MySpace practically learns from the member’s own experience, from their tastes, expressed preferences, videos watched, and music listened to (on MySpace), allowing them to discover further multimedia content and relate more easily to similar profiles. All of this contributes to implementing a highly personalized stream. The intention, quoting Mike Jones, CEO of MySpace, is to offer “social entertainment, not a social network“.
The new MySpace, therefore, is much more interactive and social but stubbornly focused on its strengths, without losing sight of the customizable but at the same time simplified visual impact.
The change at MySpace, already underway, will be gradually extended to everyone and to all new features, over a period that is expected to last until the end of November.
