The “Snake Rewind” game, developed by its original author, arrives on smartphones worldwide.
In the era of mobile phones, when the market was particularly dominated by Nokia, a game kept millions of users of the Finnish company’s phones hooked.
We are talking about the historic “Snake”, the serpent that – from screen to screen – grew immensely. The player’s task was to prevent the snake from touching the edges of the game screen, getting itself “twisted” up.
Hours and hours of free time spent increasing scores and progressing in the game, personal records, and challenges among friends.
An era that today seems distant, but is about to be revived in a new guise.
It has indeed been learned that on May 14, 2015, the new version of Snake for smartphones will arrive on the main stores. “Snake Rewind” will be a game app available for iOS, Android, and Windows Phone.
In recent years, there have been several attempts to imitate the game, but this time the news is of different significance, as the app was developed by the original creator of mobile Snake himself; this person’s name is Taneli Armanto.
Snake Rewind will be offered as a free app and will allow – entirely optionally – for in-app purchases to be made.
To give a taste of what Snake Rewind’s screens look like, an official video has been released on Youtube.
