The Skype for Symbian update now allows you to enjoy all the features that have made Skype famous, also on the new Nokia N8, Nokia C6, Nokia C7, and Nokia E7.
However, the new features are not limited to expanded compatibility with new Symbian devices, as there is another innovation: it’s also possible to update SILK, Skype’s wideband audio codec, which enables calls with CD-level audio quality even when you don’t have sufficient connection bandwidth.
From a strictly functional and graphical perspective, the update will reveal renewed ease in adding new contacts to your address book. It’s also possible to add a photo to your profile, set mood messages, and recommend the application to friends using Symbian phones. Everything points to a social-focused update.
