Record Android: 500 Thousand Activations Per Day

Android is the increasingly chosen operating system, and increasingly record-breaking: at a rate of 500,000 activations per day, Google’s operating system is gaining widespread approval.

Exponential growth, that of Android: with 500,000 new daily activations registered, the operating system made by Google is experiencing an average weekly increase of 4.4%.
A record proudly communicated to the world by Andy Rubin, via Twitter.
Between Android smartphones and tablets, the operating system is gaining followers and engaging more and more users. This indicates that mobile activations are attractive and represent the present – as well as the future – of connectivity.
The trend will likely remain high, especially as the next Android innovation is on the horizon: Honeycomb for tablets is about to arrive.
Android’s diffusion growth has quintupled within a single calendar year. The reason likely lies in the fact that, until today, Android has been the strongest alternative to Apple’s operating system.
However, the coming months could mark a change in the bilateral vision that has been established so far: new Nokia Windows Phones and especially Mango are on their way.
While both Apple and Google are now well-positioned at the top of smartphone and tablet user preference, it’s not a given that new competitor products won’t find niches of admirers.
