Panasonic has introduced the new Panasonic LUMIX FZ200, a superzoom bridge camera worth serious consideration for its features.
A superzoom bridge camera with a very bright lens: if a concise phrase were needed to explain the new Panasonic LUMIX FZ200, these would be the first features to mention.
Panasonic recently introduced this new camera model, truly suitable for all light conditions and activities: from photos in motion to portraits, the new Panasonic LUMIX FZ200 relies on a lens with a constant aperture of f/2.8.
The lens is a LEICA DC with 24x optical zoom and F2.8 across the entire range. For action shots, it can benefit from the 48x Intelligent Zoom and the Nano-Surface coating, features that reduce reflections and motion blur.
Everything is orchestrated by the 12-megapixel high-sensitivity MOS sensor and the motorized optical stabilizer Power O.I.S., which functions not only in photographic mode but also when recording videos; speaking of which, this bridge camera is capable of Full HD 1920×1080 50p video recording with Dolby Digital audio.
Speed is high: this camera allows shooting 12 frames per second when using the “Burst” Sequential Shooting function.
Everything can always be viewed on the bright 3-inch LCD display.
As for the battery, the Panasonic LUMIX FZ200 is equipped with a 1200 mAh battery, sufficient for over 500 images.
The selling price of the Panasonic LUMIX FZ200 is not yet known, but, at least on paper, this appears to be a very capable superzoom bridge camera.
