Twitter is getting private group chats and in-app videos

The rush to update Twitter in recent weeks seems to be continuous. The staff of the microblogging-based social network appears to be very active in trying to catch up, considering the numbers generated by other globally used social platforms.
And so today we learn that a couple of new features are arriving on Twitter that seem to be mirrored by other “competitor” services.
In fact, it is learned that starting in the coming days it will be possible to activate private group chats: their operation appears very simple and is intended not only for direct contacts.
By creating a group, in fact, you can add various followers; you can then start the actual chat, writing messages that everyone can reply to. This means that one of our contacts can easily chat with another of our contacts, even if they are not mutual followers.
The relationship is therefore not 1 to 1 but it will be enough to have been added to a private group to be able to initiate a direct exchange of messages, always within the group itself.
The mechanism is decidedly reminiscent of what has been possible to do for a long time through WhatsApp. Nothing absolutely new but a notable “revolution” on Twitter.
Naturally, when our name is added to a group, you will receive a notification of the event.

The second noteworthy innovation concerns a change to the mobile app: the video recording function can be activated directly in-app.
This means that it will be possible to start recording short videos, up to a maximum duration of 30 seconds, using the official Twitter application directly.
In this way, sharing will be immediate, direct, and unadorned, thus allowing everyone to post videos without having to “leave” the application even for a few seconds.
It is not yet known precisely when the new features will become active for all users, as the company’s official press release does not specify any certain launch date; however, it is spoken of a very short timeframe: everything will be functional within a few days.
